What started as a vintage, 1971 Volkswagen Bus is now fully restored and equipped with state-of-the-art photo and printing equipment and capturing joy around Indiana — it’s the Penny Lane VW Photo Bus!

Penny Diersing and her husband Tim have a love for cars, especially Volkswagens. Penny Lane is a VW Bus that had been in the family for years, and it was Tim’s idea to do the renovation, starting with putting hardwood floors on the inside.

“Not only is it a photo booth — it’s a complete VW photo experience,” Diersing said. “Penny Lane VW Photo Bus is completely customizable for any event. Decorations on the interior, exterior, the photo edits and even the props are all made to fit the theme of your event. We take the time to customize the bus for each event or festival or season to make sure each person who steps inside has an unforgettable experience.”

The customization includes personalized photos with your logo, custom neon lights, premium props, digital masks and photo filters along with fun hosts who welcome and interact with the guests. Penny Lane also offers an online gallery to relive memories as well as digital photos via AirDrop, email or text to share on social media.

Penny and Tim, a disabled veteran, take Penny Lane around the state for festivals, parks, street fairs, corporate events, weddings and parties. Their love of making customers happy is what makes each event special.

“I love doing it because it always brings a smile to people’s faces,” she said. “Tim is behind all the designs for the bus. It allows him to be creative, even when he can’t physically customize the decor. He even took a toy mini VW Bug and painted it to match the bus, which is perfect for kids!”
